yelling, wanting, desiring);
quiet compassion.
in silence waiting
the intense inner struggle
playing again its drama;
yet just that nothing
for all passes but the silence

I believe we really need to come to silence, to shut off the constant chatter and video's in our heads! I try to practise at least once per day, 30 minutes of silence! I use part of the Jesus prayer, and time it to my breathing, so I can focus on that alone...sure sometimes I'll find myself carried away into a discussion, but I gently go back into the breathing and my prayer word!! I want to add a second 30 minute period, but I'm not quite ready yet!! Love it!!!!
