lockstep
We need little to make us happy
it is others who say we need more,
this career,
those friends,
a certain style of clothing,
how to talk,
what to read
and yes the in movies to see,
so happiness may come.
Yet
Often we can feel like we are gasping
perhaps drowning is the better word,
so many voices
opinions,
seeking to control us,
if truth be told we often are,
locksteped we march on
running in circles until we die
then perhaps we can rest.

love this poem..it's true we need little to make us happy...but why the hurry in getting so much things? i hope to slow down...once in a while...curl in bed, read a good book, love even more...love life even more..
