I hope
I hope that in my own little way
in spite of my often pessimistic moods
and thoughts,
with my preoccupation with the underneath,
that I can everyday alleviate the pain in the world,
perhaps only in a small way,
yet to lessen pain is no little thing,
littleness or poverty is no excuse not to try.
So look and reach out when you can,
touch,
and simply be with,
love,
and perhaps a little healing will come,
the hearts weight lessened,
if only for awhile,
what else can we do?
