Deepening our sorrow

Oneness hidden yet true,
Wounding others we wound ourselves.
Lack of understanding
Only deepening our sorrow.
An endless cycle like the rings of hell.
Self laceration the fruit of hatred,
The suffering self inflicted as others are struck down.
Seeking relief in hatred and revenge,
Is as futile as a thirsty man drinking dust,
The man seeking peace through revenge and contempt is forever lost.
