The inner way

The real struggle,

The war that is fought,

The wounds that are felt,

The not giving into despair,

Of not believing the inner voice;

Mocking, accusing, disparaging.

Is an inner one…..

Hidden from the eyes of those we love.

The loneliness felt

The seeming aloneness,

Drain, and depletes

If believed to be true,

The illusion can become reality,

If the struggle is given up,

And we sink into the abyss.

The victory

Is not to believe

To not be afraid of the wounds received

As we journey thru life.

Putting the inner voice in its place,

More courage is needed for that

Though it is unseen by those around us.

To learn that those we know

Love and converse with,

They too have their inner struggle,

Their wounds, faults, and failures…..

To see ourselves in others

To see Christ not only in others

But in ourselves

Is the road to healing and victory.
